Speak low. Songs about masculinity

01.06.2024

Cars, muscles, dominance: relevant representations of masculinity are still sold today as an ideal worth striving for. But what do these narratives mean for our lives? And what would be possible beyond the historically evolved view of cultural genders? With these questions, Johannes Worms and Nasti open up a new experience for the audience with well-known songs.

Johannes Worms (baritone) and Nasti (piano and live electronics) will perform works by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Gustav Mahler and Benjamin Britten, amongst others.
