In the spirit of Clara and Robert Schumann, the Schumann House offers young artists a stage. In the "Podium" concert series, students from the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig Conservatory of Music and Theatre present themselves. Robert was one of the first teachers at the conservatoire founded by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Clara also taught there briefly until the artistic couple moved to Dresden.

Students of Prof. Alexander Schmalcz's Lied class will present themselves.
