Liebesfrühling - Moderated concert

In spring 1841, Robert Schumann wrote euphorically in his marriage diary: "The idea of publishing a songbook with Clara has inspired me to work." The newly married Schumann couple soon devoted themselves to setting twelve poems from Friedrich Rückert's "Liebesfrühling" to music.

While Robert puts his musical contribution down on paper in no time at all, Clara does not find the work so easy. Disillusioned, she notes: "I have no talent for composition at all!" Robert encourages his wife not to despair of this task. What luck for us!

Experience the song cycle "Liebesfrühling" at its place of origin and learn more about the challenges of the first years of marriage that Robert and Clara Schumann spent in Inselstraße.
