Look forward to "Schumann's Salon" on 12.11, 7 pm! Then the Amatis Trio can be experienced again in its original line-up - with Dutch pianist Mengjie Han! Founded in 2014, the ensemble, once ECHO "Rising Stars" and BBC New Generation Artists, is now represented on all important concert stages and festivals worldwide. The musicians have performed at the BBC Proms, the Verbier Festival and the Edinburgh International Festival, among others.
The programme at the Schumann House, entitled "Sehnsucht" (Longing), features the piano trios by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in C major, KV 548, and Robert Schumann in G minor, op. 110. These two major works provide the framework for two compositions for clarinet, interpreted by Ib Hausmann: Three Songs without Words for clarinet and piano by Paul Ben-Haim and Bartók's "Contrasts" for clarinet, violin and piano.
